• The US Smithfield foods group has chosen Armor Inox to engineer, manufacture, start up its new state of the art cooked ham and poultry plant located in North Carolina, United States.

• The unit comprises 2 parallel Thermix lines fully automated from molding to demolding of cooked / chilled products and has a maximum capacity of more then 660 000 lbs/day.

• One line is dedicated to 60" long slicing logs sliced on site while the second one is processing deli products.

• Following its image of a company definitely focussed towards environmental consciousness, Armor Inox has started implementing and covering the steps necessary for the environmental certification with its partner AFAQ.

• Three major steps are defined :
- October 2008 : End of the diagnostic phase
- October 2009 : End of the implementation of the environmental steps
- October 2010 : End of the certification procedure, monitoring phase

• On the 26th March 2007, Bernard Pivette, president of the CRAM Britany (local health and safety organism) honoured Armor Inox by giving its President Claude Dréano the Bronze INRS medal.

• This very seldom given distinction recognizes our commitment, sustained by the General Manager, towards the development of safety as a major driver of our business and strategy.
